Our History

Bridging the gap between clinical care and community life

Wellbeing Connect and Community Support Initiative (WCCSI) was officially registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) as an Incorporated Trustee under IT No. 9389045 and commenced full operations on 8th January, 2026. The Initiative was established in response to the growing need for accessible community-based wellbeing services that complement healthcare delivery in Nigeria.

The Initiative was established in response to a growing need for accessible, community-based wellbeing services that complement healthcare delivery in Nigeria — recognising that many social, emotional, and mental health challenges cannot be solved through clinical care alone.

Since inception, we’ve built sustainable networks through strategic partnerships, community engagement, advocacy, education, and social prescribing — empowering individuals, enhancing resilience, and fostering inclusive community development.

Our Aims & Objectives

Social Prescribing & Community-Based Support

Supporting individuals beyond traditional healthcare through volunteer engagement, community outreach, wellness education, and support groups.

We connect people with activities, services, and programmes that improve physical, emotional, and social wellbeing — reducing isolation and strengthening community resilience.

Connecting to Non-Medical Services

Serving as a bridge to counselling, skills acquisition, youth empowerment, employment support, and recreational programmes.
Through personalised referrals and community engagement, we ensure individuals receive the right support at the right time — complementing medical care.

Partnering for Coordinated Care

Collaborating with healthcare institutions, NGOs, faith-based organisations, and community groups to deliver sustainable programmes.
We build networks that integrate medical and social services — reducing duplication, improving efficiency, and enhancing outcomes for vulnerable populations.
