Our History
Bridging the gap between clinical care and community life
Wellbeing Connect and Community Support Initiative (WCCSI) was officially registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) as an Incorporated Trustee under IT No. 9389045 and commenced full operations on 8th January, 2026. The Initiative was established in response to the growing need for accessible community-based wellbeing services that complement healthcare delivery in Nigeria.
Identifying that many social, emotional, and mental health challenges cannot be solved through clinical care alone, WCCSI was founded to bridge the gap between healthcare services and community support systems. Subsequently, the Initiative has remained committed to promoting holistic wellbeing through strategic partnerships,
community engagement, advocacy, education, and social prescribing programmes.
Also, recognizing the importance of non-medical interventions in improving mental, emotional, and social health, the initiative began with strong partnerships with healthcare providers, NGOs, and grassroots organizations.
